Farmville is a massively popular Facebook game, so it has millions of players. If you are just starting out, you will pretty much be at the bottom of the pyramid.   • Visit your neighbors every time you play the game. Try to visit at least 20 neighbors every day and assist them with farm work. Helping them do things like fertilize their crops, will earn you XP. Remember, there is only so much you can do on your own farm in a day, so helping out friends is a great way to earn more XP.
  • Concentrate on planting crops that yield favorable XP, rather than money. Some crops will in fact give you no XP, such as raspberries.
  • While many buildings, decorations and vehicles are essentially useless, or money-wasters, they can provide you with lots of XP. Check the amount of XP you gain before purchasing these items and remember to sell them for cash afterwards. Take your selling price into account when working out the XP gained versus cash spent calculation.

Ribbons are earned by reaching milestones and completing tasks in Farmville. Some tasks might require you to do a bit of research, in order to get from a yellow ribbon, to blue – if don’t already know how. To level quickly in Farmville requires a bi of ribbon mastery. The blue ribbons especially will earn you lots of valuable XP. Some ribbons can be earned over time by default, so you don’t need to make a special effort early on in the game to get them: “A Pretty Penny” is one such ribbon.

Mastering each kind of crop you plant, is another means of gaining XP. Each crop has a different level of mastery and needs to be successfully planted a certain number of times.  Learning how to level quickly in Farmville means learning how to achieve crop mastery too. You can track your progress towards mastering a certain crop, by checking on the number of stars you have for that crop when visiting the Market. Besides earning the XP from crop mastery, you will also earn personal status and bragging rights, which adds to the fun in the game.
